Each day is filled with fun activities, including creating dinosaur crafts, engaging in imaginative play, and discovering fascinating facts about different dinosaur species. As they explore prehistoric landscapes, kids will work together in teams to “excavate” their own dinosaur bones and pieces of history, piecing together the past in a race against time! Prescribed Medication (EpiPen, Inhaler, etc.)

Your child’s safety is our priority. SciGenie Lead Camp Counselors are MAT-certified (Medication Administration Trained) and hold current First Aid and CPR certifications.

If your child requires medication such as an EpiPen, inhaler, or other prescribed treatment, please provide the medication in its original labeled container along with any doctor’s instructions or action plan at check-in on the first day of camp.

Our trained staff will follow all state guidelines to ensure your child’s medication is administered safely and properly.

Pre-Camp Information

The week before your child’s camp begins, you’ll receive a Welcome Email with:

  • Drop-off & pick-up details

Camp Size

Each camp is limited to 20 campers with an 8:1 student-to-instructor ratio, ensuring personalized attention and engagement.

Potty-Training Policy

All campers must be fully potty-trained to attend SciGenie Camps.
Campers cannot attend in pull-ups, diapers, or swim diapers and must arrive in regular underwear.

Do Junior Campers Have Nap Time?

Yes — under Virginia state licensing requirements, all campers under the age of 5 must have a quiet rest period of at least one hour each day.

During this time, some children may choose to nap, while others may simply rest quietly. Our counselors create a calm, comforting environment — often reading stories or playing soft music to help campers unwind.

💡 Please send your child with a small blanket, comfort item, or book if desired. All items should be labeled with your child’s name.

Camp T-Shirts

Each camper receives one complimentary SciGenie T-shirt on their first day of camp.
Campers should wear their T-shirt daily for safety and easy identification.
Additional shirts are available for $15 each.
